Nassar reimagines al-Ali’s iconic boy, Handala—the barefoot child forever exiled from home—as a figure poised between mortality and timelessness. The split form evokes both suffering and an undying resolve, echoing al-Ali’s own words. By casting Handala as “eternal,” Nassar reminds viewers that Palestinian resistance, hope, and struggle endure beyond any single lifetime.
