Nabil Anani’s (b. Latroun, 1943) work is rooted in his deep fascination with the Palestinian landscape and rural life—subjects he has explored consistently throughout his artistic career. Women often appear at the forefront of his compositions, positioned as central, symbolic figures who embody both cultural resilience and societal importance. Through them, Anani highlights their vital role not only in Palestinian history but in the broader fabric of daily life. They become symbols of nature, peace, and continuity—qualities that Anani consistently seeks to reflect in his portrayal of the Palestinian landscape.
T Mother by Nabil Anani was born in Nablus in 1974. He received a BA degree in fine art from Al Najah University in 1998. Although he is a multidisciplinary artist- producing sound and light installations, video and performances- Asad describes himself as a painter first and foremost. Starting as an abstract painter, his work has evolved to focus on Palestinian landscape. He has participated in group exhibitions in Palestine, Europe, Japan, the US and the Arab world.
