Tatriz by Nabil Anani

Nabil Anani (b. Latroun, 1943) is widely known for his expressive landscapes, yet his work often goes beyond the scenery to focus directly on distinctly Palestinian elements found in everyday life. These motifs—drawn from traditional clothing, architecture, tapestries, and ceramics—form a visual language rooted in cultural identity. In Tatriz, Anani presents a vibrant tapestry filled with color, geometric forms, and intricate patterns that trace back to traditional Palestinian embroidery. The piece becomes a celebration of heritage, echoing the rich craft traditions passed down through generations.
