Faces of Jerusalem by Nabil Anani

Nabil Anani has always highlighted the theme of unity and togetherness in his artwork. In ‘Faces of Jerusalem’ he depicts a Palestinian family grouped together in the foreground of the cityscape. They stand side by side, looking forwards as if to pose for a portrait. Anani also depicts white doves perched atop the trees, or above olive branches, joining this family as they remain proud of their heritage and familial bond.
