Dewdrops by Nabil Anani
Presenting Dewdrops. Nabil Anani (b. Latroun, 1943) imagines a Palestine free from occupation—lush, peaceful, and whole. His landscapes erase signs of conflict, offering a vision of manicured hills untouched by settlements, roadblocks, or walls. Inspired by childhood memories in Halhoul, Anani paints a dreamlike land rooted in hope and nostalgia. Known for his focus on Palestinian rural life, Anani uses horizontal lines and soft, earthy tones to reflect ancient terraces, olive groves, and cypress trees.
