Jerusalem by Nabil Anani

Nabil Anani (b. Latroun, 1943) presents the Palestinian landscape without any disruptions—a perfectly manicured terrain that appears carefully tended. Anani paints the picturesque hills of Palestine free from the ever-increasing Israeli settlements, bypass roads, roadblocks, walls, and watchtowers that are typically visible in nearly every corner. He envisions the Palestine of his dreams: a utopia shaped by memories of his childhood. Anani’s work is deeply rooted in his fascination with the Palestinian landscape and rural life—subjects he has explored consistently throughout his artistic journey.

T Jerusalem (2013) by Nabil Anani was born in Nablus in 1974. He received a BA degree in fine art from Al Najah University in 1998.
