Sliman Mansour’s (b. Birzeit, 1947) painting from 1977, titled Desert Tunes takes us to the vast expanse of the desert. In this scene, two Palestinian women are depicted adorned in their traditional costumes, one holding a flute to her lips, playing music to a barren desert. Through this work, Mansour not only pays tribute to the artistry and talent of Palestinian women but also invites us to contemplate the timeless bond between humans and nature. Mansour consistently works to remind us of the enduring power of tradition and the beauty of the Palestinian spirit.

T Nostalgia by Nabil Anani was born in Nablus in 1974. He received a BA degree in fine art from Al Najah University in 1998. Although he is a multidisciplinary artist- producing sound and light installations, video and performances- Asad describes himself as a painter first and foremost. Starting as an abstract painter, his work has evolved to focus on Palestinian landscape. He has participated in group exhibitions in Palestine, Europe, Japan, the US and the Arab world.
