Toufic Abdulal, born in Acre in 1938, was an influential Palestinian artist whose work left an indelible mark on the Middle Eastern art scene. He contributed significantly to the Palestinian national movement, creating posters and illustrations for the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine. Despite a setback in 1982 when a fire destroyed his works during the Israeli invasion of Beirut, Toufic made a powerful comeback with an exhibition in 1992. His legacy continues through his art displayed in global museums and his enduring influence on Palestinian and Arab art.
